SDSN AusNZPac and ACTS members are warmly invited to submit expressions of interest for the first Accelerating SDG Practice online discussion forum, which will take place on 10 April 2019.

SDSN AusNZPac and the Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability (ACTS) are launching a joint series of bimonthly online discussion forums for our member institutions that aim to help them accelerate and scale up action on the SDGs. Members are invited to propose topics for future forums.

Deadline extended to 12 April! Global SDSN is inviting universities and higher education institutions to submit case studies for a new in-depth guide on SDG learning and teaching.

On February 14, 2019, the Australian Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade released a report which examined Australia’s implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, following a year-long Inquiry.

SDSN AusNZPac and its members and partners actively contributed in a range of ways to the Australian Senate’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Inquiry into the SDGs.

SDSN AusNZPac has been pleased to see many of its recommendations reflected in the report on implementation of the SDGs in Australia from the Australian Senate’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade.

On February 12 2019, SDSN Youth brought together leaders and representatives from youth organisations and initiatives in Australia in a forum to examine the critical role of young people in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In March 2018, SDSN Australia/Pacific co-hosted the second high-level multi-stakeholder forum to advance national implementation of the SDGs in Australia. The Summit Outcomes Report is now available.

Director of SDSN, world-renowned professor of economics and leader in sustainable development, Professor Jeffrey Sachs visited Melbourne in October 2018 to deliver a public lecture hosted by Monash University and SDSN Australia, New Zealand & Pacific.

SDSN Australia, New Zealand and Pacific and the Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability (ACTS) have been recognised for their work on "Getting Started with the SDGs in Universities" as part of the 2018 Banksia Sustainability Awards. The Guide was selected as a finalist for the Research & Academia category.
